2025 Supercross: Round 3 Anaheim 2

250SX West

The third round of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX West Championship delivered high-intensity racing at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. With rising rivalries and standout performances, the class was full of chaos baby and excitement.

1. Haiden Deegan Dominates in Anaheim

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan put on a clinic in the 250SX main event, securing his first win of the season in dominant fashion. After an aggressive battle in the heat races, Deegan carried that momentum into the main event, grabbing the holeshot and never looking back. His ability to navigate the tricky track conditions with confidence allowed him to pull away from the competition and take the checkered flag with a comfortable lead.

2. Julien Beaumer Keeps the Pressure On

Red Bull KTM’s Julien Beaumer finished second, marking another strong ride for the rookie sensation. Beaumer challenged Deegan early in the race but ultimately couldn’t match his rival’s pace as the laps wound down. However, his consistent finishes keep him in the hunt for the championship.

3. Cole Davies

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cole Davies put together another hell of a ride. His ability to make key passes in the latter half of the race helped him secure another crucial podium finish. This kid is nothing but awesome and has all the potential in the world.  CANNOT wait to watch him and Haiden keep racing for Yamaha and dominating on the world stage.

Jo Shimoda

How much tougher can you get? This kid got those fingers absolutely smashed and confirmed broken, still got 6th, insane.  He is riding to manage points but is visibly uncomfortable.  Hopefully he can manage points until the break, but is that the right move? Should he just rest? Tell us your thoughts...

Rivalries Heating Up

The tension between Haiden Deegan and Julien Beaumer escalated after a controversial heat race incident where the two riders made contact, leading to some heated words exchanged off the track. While no penalties were issued, it was clear that the rivalry between the two young stars is becoming one of the biggest storylines in the 250SX West series. All I can say is I am HERE for it!

What's Next?

The next round of the series moves to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on February 1, where the riders will tackle a Triple Crown format—adding even more unpredictability to an already thrilling season. Deegan better be able to get his starts figured out!

Can Deegan carry this momentum forward, or will Beaumer and Hampshire step up to challenge him? The 250SX West Championship is just getting started, and the intensity is only increasing.

450SX

Round 3 of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season delivered an electrifying night of racing at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. The 450SX class saw intense battles, a first-time winner in 2025, and key shifts in the championship standings. Let's check out the podium..

1. Jett Lawrence Gets His First 450SX Win of the Season

After a challenging start to the season, Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence found his rhythm in Anaheim and claimed his first main event win of 2025. Despite not grabbing the holeshot, Lawrence stayed patient, methodically working his way through the field. His ability to find smooth lines and capitalize on mistakes from other riders proved crucial as he surged to the lead late in the race and never looked back.

After a rough outing in the first two rounds, this win serves as a statement ride for Lawrence, reminding the field why he’s one of the top contenders for the title.

2. Ken Roczen Takes Over the Red Plate

Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki’s Ken Roczen rode to a strong second-place finish, which was enough to propel him into the championship lead. Roczen, who has shown remarkable consistency in the first three rounds, executed a strategic ride, staying out of trouble and managing his pace well.

While he didn’t have the raw speed to match Lawrence in the closing laps, his ability to secure another podium finish without major mistakes has put him in a prime position moving forward.

3. Jason Anderson Leads Early but Settles for Third

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson grabbed the holeshot and controlled much of the race, but as the track deteriorated, he struggled to maintain his pace. Lawrence eventually reeled him in and made a decisive pass, followed by Roczen, pushing Anderson to a third-place finish.

Though he missed out on the win, Anderson’s pace and aggression show that he remains a legitimate threat in the title race.

Tough Night for Eli Tomac

Defending champion Eli Tomac had a rough start, finding himself buried outside the top ten early in the race. The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider fought back through the pack but could only manage a seventh-place finish—a disappointing result for the reigning champ.

With Roczen taking over the points lead, Tomac will need to rebound quickly in the upcoming rounds to stay in championship contention.
